Structural monitoring of bridges and tall buildings need accurate and high-resolution motion sensors. Very high accuracy attitude sensors and accelerometers are needed to measure small deflections caused by loads from moving vehicles, wind gusts or other environmental forces.
The very high accuracy of up to 0.01 degrees in roll and pitch for high end NORSUB MRUs make them a great choice for monitoring deflections of bridges and other structures. The onboard MRU real-time FFT analysis is also useful for vibration monitoring.
