Riser monitoring
The NORSUB Subsea MRU is used to measure roll & pitch (inclination) and lateral motions of risers with very high accuracy. The small size and footprint of the Subsea MRU & inclinometer make it easy to mount it on the riser.
The NORSUB Subsea MRU & inclinometer is an ideal sensor for riser monitoring due to its high accuracy attitude measurements in a very compact and robust package with flexible communication options. It can be used anywhere with water depth rated to 6000 m.
Communication over very long cables are often needed in riser monitoring applications. The Subsea MRU & inclinometers has 2-wire RS-485 communication with Modbus RTU. This enables serial communication for cables up to 3000 m for lower baud rates.
