DP
Dynamic positioning (DP) of vessels requires roll and pitch compensation of the GNSS antenna to provide accurate position of the ship’s control point. In this application the NORSUB MRU works as a vertical reference unit (VRU) that gives reliable and accurate roll & pitch measurements to the DP system.
The NORSUB MRU can be set up with industry standard protocols for easy interfacing to the existing DP system, or as replacement for other VRUs.
The Marine MRU can be mounted in any direction and the remote monitoring point (GNSS antenna location) can be configured in the configuration software.
The NORSUB MRU can be delivered with an industrial junction box or pigtail cable for integration to existing systems.
